When a video is created in Backstage, it needs to have at least one territory policy set up for distribution in order to be playable. You can adjust the available and blocked countries at any time during a video's lifecycle.
Please note that these Policies set the monetization for YouTube only, any video uploaded for Vevos O&O offerings will be available in the following territories.
1. Adding a territory policy
To add a territory policy to a Vevo delivery go to the Distribution tab of the ISRC
2. There are three potential policies that you can select for a video
Monetized Policy -This should be selected to add individual territories when a provider does not have worldwide rights or to schedule the video to go live at different times across different territories.
Monetized worldwide -This should be selected when a provider has a worldwide
rights
Block worldwide --This should be selected when a provider does not have
rights or wishes to add in their policy after the video is uploaded
3. Setting a monetized policy
Backstage defaults to setting a monetized policy for a new video
4. Select the date and time you wish the video to go live
Click on the start time box
5. Click on SunMonTueWedThuFriSat…
Then select the date using the calendar view
6. Click on highlight
and the time using the time drop-down
7. Adding territories
Add in any territories you have rights for in the available box
These can be typed and then selected from the drop-down or pasted using a comma-separated list.
8. The policy will now be added when you hit publish and should look like the below
9. Setting a Monetize worldwide policy
Under the add policy drop-down select Monetize worldwide
10. Click on Make video available worldwide?
You will then see this pop-up, allowing you to add in any blocked territories.
If you do not wish to block any territories please leave this blank
11. Click on Confirm
12. Select the date and time you wish the video to go live
Click on the start time box
13. Click on 9
Then select the date using the calendar view
14. Click on 01
and the time using the time drop-down
15. The policy will now be added when you hit publish and should look like the below

Please note that no start or end date can be set for a Blocked Policy
Select the add policy drop-down
17. Click on Block worldwide
18. Click on Confirm
19. The policy will now be added when you hit publish and should look like the below
20. Adding monetization monetization policies that go live at different times across different territories.
If a release is planned to go live at different times across different territories you can add multiple monetization policies in Backstage
The first step to do this is to click the Add policy drop down
21. Click on Add monetized policy
22. Select the date and time you wish the video to go live in the first territory(s)
23. Click on 11

25. Adding in the territories you wish to go live at the time/date
26. This can either be typed and selected from the drop-down or pasted in a comma-separated list
27. Adding in your next policy
Go back to the top of the page and select Add policy followed by Add monetized policy
28. Repet the steps above
add in the start date and times you wish the other territories to go live
