Chapters allows a viewer to skip to a precise moment in the video, specified by the content owner. The user can hover-over the progress bar to see the name of the chapter, as well as the timestamp.
Add chapters to make it easier for the viewer to scrub to their favorite moments in a music video or sections in an interview.
How can I use Chapters on our music videos?
The video Chapters feature is available on all channels/videos in our network.
To add a chapter you simply add the timestamp and the title of your chapter in your video's description field on Backstage or via feed.
If your chapters are not populating correctly, be sure to format your chapters like the example below. (Use 00:00 time stamps, be sure there is a space between the time stamp and the chapter title)
Example of properly formatted Chapters:
00:00 Title Card
00:10 Music start
01:54 Amazing parkour stunt
03:34 Credits
Requirements
- Make sure that the first timestamp you list starts with 00:00.
- Your video should have at least three timestamps listed in ascending order.
