1. "Video Unavailable" General Message
Looks like:
If you can still see the video player, video views, and comments, but you see a "video unavailable" message where the video should be playing, your ownership has not been applied.
Please see this support article to resolve. This can be resolved by the content provider - no need to reach out to Content Ops!
2. "Sign in to confirm your age - this video may be inappropriate for some users" message
Looks like:
Your video has been age-restricted! Please see to support article to learn more.
3. "Video Unavailable - This video is private" Message
Looks like:
The video is private. It has not been deleted.
- If you are the owner of this video, please remove the end date in Vevo Backstage to make the video public again!
- If you are a Content Provider and need to gain ownership of this video, please request a full rights transfer with Content Ops.
- If you are an artist, please reach out to your Content Provider/Distributor.
4. "Video Unavailable - This video was removed by the uploader" Message
Looks like:
This video has been deleted. Do not panic. Please see this support article for more help: My video was deleted! Can the video, views, and comments on YouTube be restored?
5. "Video Unavailable - Due to a copyright claim"
Looks like:
This video has been taken down due to a copyright claim.
- If you're the owner of this video, you've likely been reached out to by our legal team in regards to this video, and you either did not assert rights in time, or you replied stating you do not assert rights.
- If you'd like to reinstate the video, which can only be done if you do have the rights to distribute the video, please reach out to Content Ops and we'll do our best to resolve in conjunction with our legal team.
- If you are not the owner of this video, but you are a content provider who has the rights to distribute this video, please reach out to Vevo Content Ops.
6. "Video Unavailable - The uploader has not made this video available in your country"
Looks like:
If you can still see the video player, video views, and comments, but you see a "video unavailable - The uploader has not made this video available in your country" message where the video should be playing, then the territorial policy is not set to play in your location.
- This may be on purpose! If you're the content provider/owner of this video, please check internally what the territorial policy should be for this video, and update accordingly in Vevo Backstage.
- If you're a content provider and do not own this video, but you own some territories for the video, please submit a split rights request to apply the correct policy for your territories.
