When a video is created in Backstage, it needs to have at least one country set up for distribution in order to be playable. You can adjust the available and blocked countries at any time during a video's lifecycle.
Reminder: Adding the territory will not immediately make the video live there. You will may to add ownership to the asset in Youtube CMS to make the video available.
- Go to the Video search page.
- Search for the video you'd like to update.
- Click into the video you wish to edit.
- Switch to the "Distribution" page to find the "Countries" section.
-
Set the territory breakdown in the two fields. Note: You can copy and paste a list of territory codes or manually enter them. To use country names, please mark the "Display full country names" box first.
Reminder: You can lock these fields to prevent feed updates from overriding the input info! Content Ops will always lock this field after a split rights update.
- Click "Publish" to save the changes. Reminder: You can make other necessary changes on any page at this time and publish them all at once.
- You'll see a "Success!" banner if there are no issues while the changes are processing.
